City maps

  • Map with marked building
  • City map of Stuttgart, Azenbergstraße
  • Arriving by public transport:
    • When arriving at main station (Hauptbahnhof), take the bus no. 40 (to Vogelsang) or no. 42 (to Schreiberstrasse), and skip one stop, getting out at Hegelplatz/Lindenmuseum. There you will have to take the bus no. 43 (to Doggenburg/Killesberg), which you must leave at the next stop (Hoelderlinstrasse). IMS is right at the cross-way, on the right hand side looking out of the bus.
    • Arriving at the metro station Stadtmitte, you first will have to get up to street level. Take the back stairs, directed to Rotebuehlplatz, and then the exit at your right (direction Doggenburg). Take bus no. 43 to Doggenburg/Killesberg and leave it at Hoelderlinstrasse - IMS is right at the cross-way.
  • How to get to IMS by car:
    • Via Kraeherwald: Your first point of orientation is the cross-way at the Birkenkopf, which you can reach by following A831 to Schattenring; don't leave the direction but follow the road straight to a triangular cross-way in the middle of the forests, right below Birkenkopf. Take the left route to Killesberg and follow the street again, passing Kraeherwald, until Doggenburg. There is a cross-way with a small pavillion in the middle; turn right there. You now have the choice between Herdweg - the steep one-way route rightmost - and Lenzhalde, which is not so steep. Follow the street in either case to the cross-way Herdweg-Azenbergstrasse; you will see a bank (LBBW) to your right side, and IMS to your left.
    • Through the city: Go to Charlottenplatz, for example, by taking B14 through Stuttgart-Sued when coming from Vaihingen via Schattenring. Follow the "Planie", through the tunnel below Schlossplatz, until you reach a cross-way with traffic lights, at the Liederhalle. Turn right and follow the street straight and uphill to the third cross-way with traffic lights, which is the one at which IMS is situated rightward.
