I am a PhD student working on the DFG funded SFB-732 project (project D2) under Jonas Kuhn. Broadly, my interests are in natural language understanding, specifically question-answering, semantic parsing, and grounded language learning. I was previously an intern in the Intelligent Systems Lab (ISL) at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC, June 2010-October 2011), working with the NLP team on question-answering. More recently (December 2012-March 2014) I worked as a research consultant for SRI International and SAP Labs Palo Alto on enterprise question-answering (see here for a short demo of our "quest" QA system). Before all of this, I was an undergraduate student at the University of Rochester (USA).
