News:

Together with Fabienne Martin, I organized a workshop on non-culminating, irresultative and atelic readings of telic predicates. Slides and Handouts.

The Proceedings of the Workshop on Morphological, Syntactic and Semantic Aspects of Dispositions have been published. You can access them here: http://elib.uni-stuttgart.de/handle/11682/8886. A selection of papers from the Workshop will be published in a Glossa Special Collection (in preparation).

About Me:

I am a Post-Doc in formal semantics in the Collaborative Research Center 732 'Incremental Specification in Context' in project B4 (PIs: Hans Kamp and Antje Roßdeutscher). I work on the context-dependent constitution of meaning below and above the word and sentence level at the syntax-semantics interface.

I hold a Dipl.-Ling. (2005) and a Dr. phil. (2009) in Linguistics with an emphasis on formal logic and semantics from the Institute for Natural Language Processing (IMS), University of Stuttgart.

Research
  • Lexical Semantics: nominalizations, participles, prefix- and particle-verbs
  • Root-based semantics
  • The relation of Formal Semantics to Conceptual and Distributional Semantics
  • Underspecification and Ambiguity: Attitude reports
