IMS wins endowment for chair of "Digital Phonetics"

IMS was successful in the call issued by the Carl Zeiss Foundation
on the topic of “digitalization”. The institute will receive an endowment of 1 million
Euros to establish a chair of “digital phonetics” whose goal will be to investigate
and establish novel processing methods for spoken language
bringing closer the interdisciplinary research areas of language,
human computer interaction and visual analytics for which Stuttgart is
internationally known.
