  Publications

My publications include monographs on German and Multilingual Speech Synthesis (AIMS, 2001) and on German Intonation (Ein quantitatives Modell der deutschen Intonation. Niemeyer, Tübingen, 1993); invited papers on multilingual TTS (Computerlinguistik 2004, ed. by Carstensen et al.; Spektrum der Wissenschaft 12/1996; DAGA 1996), on intonation models (Phonetic Knowledge, ed. by Barry and van Dommelen, 2005; Speech Comm. 33/2001; Intonation, ed. by Botinis, 2000; ICPhS 1995; Speech Comm. 13/1993), and on cross-language phonetic studies (Folia Linguistica 38/2004).

I also contributed to Multilingual Text-to-Speech Synthesis - The Bell Labs Approach (ed. by Richard Sproat). The German version of the Bell Labs TTS system was presented as a journal paper in Computer Speech and Language 13, 1999.
