DFG awards funding for SimPhon.Net

The University of Stuttgart and the applicant Daniel Duran were successful in their application for funding from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) for a scientific network under the title “ SimPhon.Net – Usage-based approaches, computational modeling and simulation studies in phonetics and phonology”. With a funding period of three years, this will support a group of researchers who are concerned with the study of language using computational modeling and simulations. In total, 15 researchers are participating from various national and international institutions and different research disciplines. From the IMS these include Dr. Daniel Duran and Dr. Natalie Lewandowski.
