The University of Stuttgart and the applicant Daniel Duran were successful in their application
for funding from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) for a scientific network under the title
“
SimPhon.Net – Usage-based approaches, computational modeling and simulation studies in
phonetics and phonology”. With a funding period of three years, this will support a group
of researchers who are concerned with the study of language using computational modeling and
simulations. In total, 15 researchers are participating from various national and international
institutions and different research disciplines. From the IMS these include Dr. Daniel Duran and
Dr. Natalie Lewandowski.
