Welcome to the Foundations of Computational Linguistics Group at IMS Stuttgart. This group succeeds the two former groups Formal Logic and Philosophy of Language and Computational Linguistics. Jonas Kuhn joined IMS as the Chair in Foundations of Computational Linguistics in January 2010.

The group members' research interests include the following focus areas:

• Computational syntax and semantics
• Linguistically grounded broad-coverage grammars
• Statistical techniques in natural language processing
• Formal Logic and Philosophy of Language
• Corpus linguistics and corpus-based lexicography
