IMS wins shared task in parsing, in collaboration with CIS and Szeged

October 17, 2013 / Sabine Schulte im Walde

In collaboration with partners from CIS, Munich, and the University of Szeged, the IMS-SZEGED-CIS team obtained the best overall results for both the constituency and dependency track in the SPMRL 2013 Shared Task. Our systems for both tracks combined several known techniques such as reranking and products of PCFG-LA grammars, as well as state-of-the-part POS and morphology tagging.

For further details on our system, we refer to the system description paper. For more information about the Shared Task, we refer to the Shared Task website and an overview paper.
