A satellite workshop held in conjunction with LabPhon 13
in Stuttgart, Germany, July 30, 2012

This workshop addressed the challenge of prosodic transcription for research in spoken language sciences and for the development of computer speech technologies. Invited speakers and poster presenters included developers of transcription systems as well as researchers who are using these systems in their investigation and/or developing large prosodically labelled corpora. The goal was to discuss current best practices in prosodic transcription relating to the goals of linguistic and speech technology research, and identify directions for future development.
